Marciano '90 Inducted Into FP Lacrosse Hall of Fame
/The Fordham Prep Lacrosse Season Kickoff and Hall of Fame Induction ceremony held at Rory Dolan’s this past Saturday, March 14th was another resounding success! Over 120 lacrosse players, family, and alumni gathered to recapture the memories from previous years, look ahead to an exciting new season, and honor Anthony Marciano ‘90 as our newest inductee into the Lacrosse Hall of Fame (bio below). Once again we bestowed the recently unretired #41 jersey, worn in honor and memory of Chris Duffy ‘96, to the Ram who will wear it this season. Congratulations to Dima Athanason ‘26 (Mamaroneck) on being selected with the honor as the third recipient to wear the #41 again.
Thanks to the donations of our guests, Silent Auction donors, Raffle donors and our dinner sponsors, we raised over $14,000 for the lacrosse program, which will go a long way to underwriting season expenses and future program initiatives.
Thank you to all who contributed! The Top Corner Club, Fordham Prep Lacrosse coaching staff, and players greatly appreciate all of your support and generosity. We hope to see you at our first home game Monday, March 23rd vs. Kennedy Catholic and will keep you posted on additional Fordham Prep Lacrosse events. Be on the lookout for our weekly preview/recap emails which hit inboxes usually on Sunday.
For those who missed the dinner and would like to donate, you can do so here.
Anthony Marciano ‘90: A native of Eastchester, Anthony was an early pioneer of the program, playing in its first two varsity seasons in 1989 and 1990. He was named All-Division in 1989, All-League in 1990, and was selected as a NYC-Metro All-Star, representing The Prep in the Exceptional Seniors Game. Across only 21 games, Anthony finished his career with 91 points (72G/19A), and his career average of 3.42 goals per game still ranks #1 in program history. After Fordham Prep, he was a four-year starter and captain at Manhattan College, leading the team in scoring all four seasons. Anthony has remained active with the program, serving as Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the JV team in 2023 and 2024. He believes his greatest contribution to the program is being the first former player to have both of his sons—Hudson ’24 and Nicholas ’26—also play for Fordham Prep.
